| MSI is extremely fortunate
to have Dr. Robert Ballard, one of the most famous ocean explorers
in the world comeing to the Bay Area and support our organization.
As an early pioneer at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution,
his work with manned and unmanned submarines allowed him to
explore the ocean deeper and further than anyone before. It
led most famously to his discovery of the Titanic, but also
to the discovery of dozens of other famous wrecks, deep sea
vents, and numerous other completely new biological phenomena. |

| Some say we know more about the Moon than we do about the oceans here on Earth. Dr. Robert Ballard's life work may well change that. |
| The Dean and Margaret
Lesher Foundation, one of MSI's principal funders, puts on the
annual Lesher Newsmaker Speaker Series at their beautiful Lesher
Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek. On April 13th,
Dr. Robert Ballard will give a presentation discussing his recent
ocean explorations. The Lesher Foundation generously paired
MSI as a non-profit partner to Dr. Ballard's appearance. We
received a small number of tickets for the lecture, and will
be attending a small intimate reception beforehand with Dr.
Ballard. MSI has even been fortunate enough to have a charter
donated by Catholic Charities CYO (a wonderful organization
assisting MSI Camp with field trip transportation and Teachers
who use MSI programs!). It should be an incredible evening,
and we want you to join us! Here is how you

As
a non-profit partner we have received a small number of
tickets that we will auction off. Just follow these steps:
1) Bids must be phoned into our office
between March 10 - 12th. Call (650)
364-2760 and then press extension 9 to reach anyone
here.
2) Leading bids will be posted in our
office and on our web site.
3) The highest bids at 5pm, Friday,
March 12th win!
The winners will receive:
2 tickets to the Dr. Ballard speaking event; admission
to the reception; and a ride to the event in our charter
with MSI's Founder Robert Rutherford and a few other lucky
people! |

This is a terrific opportunity to support MSI and meet close-up

Series, and will be producing a short promotional movie about
MSI to present at the talk.
